We delight in getting together! Join us every Sunday following our 10am service for a reception in Lackey Hall. Grab a bite to eat and chat with fellow members and visitors. Periodically throughout the year, we have a Big Breakfast, with a hearty meal prepared by the Hospitality Team following the Sunday Service. We have Pot Luck dinners in Lackey Hall at 6:00 PM each Wednesday during Lent. Bring a dish to share and join us as we will eat together, sing a hymn, and pray Evening Prayer. Special receptions for our Bishop’s Visit for Confirmation and Special Recognition Events vary from year to year.
Volunteers minister to families and friends after the death of a loved one by providing and serving refreshments in Lackey Hall after a funeral.
All women of Christ & Grace are included as members of the ECW. The ECW hosts quarterly fellowship opportunities, and runs several fundraisers throughout the year to support the church and our outreach programs, including the SOUPer Bowl Sale, peanut & pecan sales, bake sale, and ornament sale. The ECW is responsible for the United Thank Offering and offers opportunities for service in projects that aid our parish as well as the local and world communities.
We live into the idea that a parish is a family by assisting each other in times of crisis, grief or unexpected change. Whether we are providing meals, running errands, helping with pets, or just praying, we serve each other when need arises, quickly and with God’s grace.
This committee consists of the Treasurer, the head of the Audit Team, and other key members of parish leadership to plan for future financial needs, prepare budgets, highlight necessary adjustments, and respond to immediate and unplanned-for financial needs.
This group develops, promotes and conducts the annual pledge campaign, which encourages parishioners to pledge a percentage of their income to Christ & Grace and to work toward the Biblical standard of tithing (10%). Stewardship is a way of life that reflects a thankful response to and a respectful use of God’s bounty.
This committee, led by Boston Lackey, Jr., conducts annual internal audits of our financial records in accordance with the Canons of the Episcopal Church.
